In all honesty, community is everything. We don't know where the brand would be without having that deeper connection to people and place. Skateboarding especially has been a tool that we have been able to empower youth around the world. From building skateboards together, to that first step on a board, skateboarding breaks down any mental or physical barriers that stand in the way. We are proud to partner with so many incredible companies to help facilitate workshops, grass roots events and donations drives.

Entering a fourth year of collaboration,Beef to Reefwas a trip from Mount Isa to Magnetic Island that brought Vans, Pass~Port, Hoddle, and Build Up back together for a week of regional spot hunting and community events. The crew – Jack Kirk, Adelaide Norris, Matthieu Lucas-D'Souza, Digby Luxton, Callum Paul, Yuma Takei, Jon Fitzgerald, Bryce Golder, Trent Evans, and Jack Dowden – jumped into the van with no idea what would be found along the way.
We have always mixed community engagement into our itinerary. Skatepark events at Mount Isa and Townsville ensured this trip was no different. Both stops were packed, allowing us to connect with the local skate community, build boards with the kids and leave the equipment behind with local organisations for continued use. Through the donation of gear and creating opportunities for local skaters, we aim to leave a lasting impact that extends well beyond the workshops delivered.
