Pass~Port Store & Gallery presents ’Above Control’ a group exhibition that explores our nuanced relationships to notions of beauty, the body and power. Curated by Chloe Borich, ‘Above Control’ brings together works by Emily McGuire, Audrey Newton and Caitlin Aloisio Shearer.

The exhibition wrestles with the dominant affirmations, analogies and rituals that punctuate everyday moments of contemporary female experience. Through varying mediums of installation, painting and soft sculpture, the works negotiate ideas of obsession and desire, validation and vulnerability, resilience and fragility, with a mischievous wink.
