PASS ~PORT & EFFICIENT SPACE PRESENT KEANU NELSON

Keanu Nelson made his headline debut in Eora with a performance at Oxford Art Factory on Thursday 1 May, following the opening of his exhibition at Pass~Post Store and Gallery. Hailing from the remote Luritja community of Papunya, northwest of Alice Springs, Nelson creates immersive audio portraits that reflect a deep sense of place. Joined by producer Yuta Matsumura, he performed tracks from his 2023 album Wilurarrakutu, blending Luritja and English lyrics with community-driven narratives, minimal electronics, and smoky melodica-infused dub.

The night also featured performances by Troth the haunting Nipaluna-based project of Amelia Besseny and Cooper Bowman (Altered States Tapes) and the moody folk distortions of Daily Toll.
