Labour Recreation Rest Clothing

Labour Recreation Rest is a small Newcastle-based label run by Marcus Dixon and Andrew Nash. The name comes from the old labor movement idea of the eight-hour workday - eight hours of labour, eight hours of recreation, and eight hours of rest - which is pretty fitting for anyone trying to balance work with actually having a life.

The brand plays around with imagery that's buried deep in our collective memory, reimagining stuff from the not-so-distant past in ways that feel both familiar and fresh. With Marcus Dixon behind it (the same guy doing graphics for Pass~Port and running Come Sundown), you know the design work is going to be on point and have that distinctly Australian creative edge.
